DISCOVERY Gems is an entity of GEM INFINITY, a company incorporated under Mauritian law and headquartered in Port Louis, Mauritius, which provides training focused on teaching the gemstone trade, from theory to practice.<\/p>\n

CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION - PAYMENT - CANCELLATION<\/h2>\n

Inscription<\/h3>\n

Any registration requires payment of the full amount of the stay. Registrations are confirmed in the order in which full payments are received (no deposits are accepted).<\/p>\n

It is mandatory to take out comprehensive medical assistance insurance, including repatriation coverage, for the duration of your stay.<\/p>\n

Payment and cancellation policy:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Between the 30th and 20th day before the start date of the session: 50% of the total price will be retained.<\/li>\n
  • Between the 19th and 8th day before the start date of the session: 80% of the total price will be retained.<\/li>\n
  • From the 7th day before the start date of the session up to and including the start date: 100% of the total price will be retained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    No refund will be made for any session that is shortened or for any service that is not consumed \ndue to the participant. Participants who have taken out insurance covering these events must \ncomply with the terms and conditions defined by the insurance company<\/p>\n

    No refund will be issued if the trip cannot be undertaken due to failure to provide the required administrative documents (passport, visa, etc.) or in the event of a visa refusal.<\/p>\n

    Failure to appear at the designated departure time and place, regardless of the reason, will not entitle the participant to any refund or postponement. Please note that, where a refund is granted, it will be issued in the form of a credit note valid for one year for any destination offered by DISCOVERY GEMS.<\/p>\n

    THE PRICE INCLUDES:<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Hotel accommodation in a single room.<\/li>\n
    • Breakfast.<\/li>\n
    • Ground transportation.<\/li>\n
    • Training and workshops during our sessions.<\/li>\n
    • Introductions to suppliers selected by DISCOVERY Gems.<\/li>\n
    • The assistance and expertise of an experienced gemologist.<\/li>\n
    • Administrative fees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE<\/h2>\n
        \n
      • - The airplane ticket.<\/li>\n
      • - Visa fees.<\/li>\n
      • Your round-trip taxi transfer between the airport and the hotel selected by DISCOVERY Gems.<\/li>\n
      • Visits, optional extras, and additional activities not specified in the program.<\/li>\n
      • Lunches and dinners.<\/li>\n
      • Travel and repatriation insurance.<\/li>\n
      • Administrative fees for the export and customs clearance of your gemstones.<\/li>\n
      • Personal expenses.<\/li>\n
      • Tips (driver, assistant, guide, porter, etc.).<\/li>\n
      • Exceptional expenses resulting from unforeseen events (strikes, weather conditions, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        CODE OF CONDUCT<\/h2>\n

        The internal rules and regulations of the hotels and sites visited shall apply throughout the entire duration of the stay offered by DISCOVERY Gems.<\/p>\n

        In the event of failure to comply with the rules and regulations or in the event of misconduct (including aggressive behavior, theft, intoxication, poor hygiene, indecency, disrespectful behavior towards other participants, brokers, sellers and\/or DISCOVERY Gems staff, this list being non-exhaustive), the participant concerned will be immediately excluded from the DISCOVERY Gems session and stay.<\/p>\n

        DISCOVERY Gems shall have no obligation towards the excluded participant and, in particular, shall not be required to refund either the training fees or the accommodation costs.<\/p>\n

        PARTICULAR CASE OF PURCHASE OF STONES<\/h2>\n

        The totality of the purchases will have to be entirely cleared before the departure of the \nparticipant.<\/p>\n

        The costs related to administrative procedures, in particular the export of stones, are the \nresponsibility of each participant.<\/p>\n

        POSTPONEMENT \/ CANCELLATION OF A SESSION<\/h2>\n

        A session may be cancelled or postponed in the event of force majeure. If the cancellation is made by DISCOVERY GEMS, the amount paid will be refunded by bank transfer. Otherwise, if the cancellation is made by the participant(s), the refund will be issued in the form of a credit note valid for one year.<\/p>\n

        Force majeure: Events of force majeure include riots, war, epidemics, natural disasters, etc. (non-exhaustive list).<\/p>\n

        In such cases, DISCOVERY Gems may be required to cancel one or more sessions and will notify the participants registered for the session(s) concerned as soon as possible. Under these circumstances, DISCOVERY Gems shall not be held liable for airline ticket cancellation fees or any other costs arising from the cancellation of a session.<\/p>\n

        RESPONSIBILITY<\/h2>\n

        The content of the DISCOVERY Gems sessions has been carefully designed to ensure that each participant gets the most out of the experience.<\/p>\n

        Any complaint regarding a session must be submitted in writing by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt to GEM INFINITY CO LTD in Port Louis, Mauritius, within 8 days following the end of the training course, without giving rise to any entitlement to a refund.<\/p>\n

        JURISDICTION<\/h2>\n
